Kavadh II

Kavadh II (Siroes, Syriac Shiroye) (Persian: قباد Qobād), twenty-third Sassanid King of Persia, son of Khosrau II (590–628), was raised to the throne in opposition to his father in February 628, after the great victories of the Emperor Heraclius (610–641). He put his father and eighteen brothers to death and began negotiations with Heraclius, but died after a reign of a few months.

Marriage

A passage of the Chronicle of Edessa identifies "Anzoy the Roman" as wife of Siroes (Kavadh III) and mother of Ardashir III. The woman was probably from the Byzantine Empire. ^[1]
